Film Screening in Calgary – June 7th – Link for more info: https://www.facebook.com/events/230696754075180/

Event description:

“Award winning documentary film, Jeff Lowe’s Metanoia, narrated by Jon Krakauer, is coming to Calgary!
Known around the world for his visionary first ascents, Jeff Lowe’s award-winning book Ice World, is the quintessential text on technical winter climbing. In 1991, on his solo ascent of a radical new route on the Eiger North Face, Jeff Lowe experienced a spiritual transformation that continues today. He named this route Metanoia.
In 2000, Lowe began showing symptoms of an unknown neurodegenerative disease. For more than 2 years Jeff was on Hospice Support at home. Two years ago they kicked him off as he traveled the globe with his film. Although he has been gravely ill on several occasions since then, he continues to bounce back and outlive all predictions. Although he requires expensive 24/7 personal and medical care, he faces each day with infectious optimism and enthusiasm. Jeff Lowe is the 2017 recipient of the Piolet d’Or Lifetime Achievement Award!

We have over thousands of dollars worth of fantastic prizes for raffle at the end of the film. Raffle tickets will be sold (CASH ONLY) at the door, prior to the commencement of the film.
