Outdoor Recreation Council of Alberta (ORCA) is an organization which consists of an umbrella group of “quiet recreation” (non-motorized) organizations across Alberta, including the Alpine Club. ORCA is working to ensure the voice of Albertan outdoor recreationalists is considered during the Government’s decisions on land-use planning (up to now, no such organization has existed in Alberta despite something equivalent having operated in BC for decades).
