Overnight parking for back-country trips

Overnight parking for back-country trips
October 2, 2017 Nathalie Drotar

FYI : “”There is no problem to park overnight at the Lake Louise parking lot if you are going for an overnight back-country trip. There are few things you have to follow though:

– Come to check in at our Visitor centre and leave with us your licence plates, names and places where you’re going to park your car.

– Most Importantly:  you have to get an overnight winter Back-country Permit in one of our visitors centers. You can book it via phone (403-522-1264) unless you obtain permits through the ACC at the time of booking the hut nights.

– Please park in one of the corners of the Lake Louise public parking lot and not by the snowbank. There are snow plows clearing the parking lot every morning.

Best Regards,
