In June of this year, Winsport announced that they would be making severe cuts to their COP cross country trails in order to build and operate a tube park. Essentially, there will little or no cross country skiing at COP for the foreseeable future!
Since that time, Foothills Nordic Ski Club has been busy working on solutions to meet the needs of all of Calgary’s cross-country skiers. August 15th, Foothills Nordic launched a crowd funding campaign in order to raise funds so that they are able to ensure that all Calgarians have access to nordic ski facilities.
Your generous donation will support snow-making, snow farming, grooming and onsite lighting, warming and washroom facilities at Confederation Park Golf Course.
