A two misguided souls – Paul and Jessica – joined me, with my misanthropic tendencies, for a long walk to the far back end of Evan Thomas Creek.
The long trudge ensued – but in beautiful canyon scenery. The creek was well frozen, apart from one section that cracked as we stood on it. But luckily no wet feet resulted. We passed all the usual, and not so usual climbs, including the mixed wall and the intimidating Green Monster (WI 4+)
Finally we arrived at Good H’Evan Thomas, WI 3 and enjoyed some messing around, lead practices and top roping. Until the day drew on and we had to make the 6km hike back out, getting to the car park as darkness fell. All in all a very rewarding day.
