King Creek – Relaxed Ice Cragging

King Creek – Relaxed Ice Cragging
January 10, 2017 George Ormerod

On the 20th of December – a weekday, we decided to dodge the weekend crowds for a bit of low key top rope lap practice.  As it turned out, it was quite busy – it must have been the impending holidays – but everyone played nicely together and shared ropes.

We managed to set up a couple of ropes on the farthest gully and the steeper line next to the cave pitch.  The usual cave pitch wasn’t formed, and everyone set to having some fun.  K2 the dog looked on skeptically, wondering why the humans weren’t stroking HER.

A pleasant time was had by all and we bugged out in the afternoon as K2 had to be taken to her holiday yoga retreat in Canmore.  In the end, it was all about the dog.
