Shangku Shelter Documentary Screening at the Plaza Fri Jan 11

Shangku Shelter is the story of how Zanskari farmers began to ski. Join filmmakers Ben Stephenson, Vera Neverkevich and Yana Kehrlein for this screening to find out what it takes to run a non-profit outdoor education school in the Himalaya. The film is followed by a Q&A and a local pub visit.

The film also features the first Alpine Club of Canada’s Lifetime Achievement Award – granted to Amin Zanskari.

– Best Feature award at Maine Outdoor Film Festival in Portland, Maine, USA
