Black Diamond Helio 105 Review

Wildsnow took a look at the Helio 105. It looks like an interesting compromise ski – enough width to ski well, but light enough for spring traverses.

My old Black Diamond Drifts and my BD Justices are looking pretty haggard, so I’ve been looking for a potential replacement. The DPS Tour 1 version of the Wailers has been tempting me, but the BDs are probably way more cost effective.

I’m also interested to see how the shift in manufacturing goes – I can’t remember who they were previously having build their skis, but the top sheets disintegrated on both my setups. Hopefully Blizzard builds a tougher ski without adding bulk. I feel like a better bonding agent is all the older ones needed…
