    While doing the Bugs-Rogers traverse a week or two ago, we ran into some crazy VOC friends doing the full, 6 week Selkirk traverse. One of them, BC Park Ranger Mark Grist had a fancy dyneema pack by Hyperlite Mountain Gear which got me wondering if they are actually any good.

    Coincidentally, today I came across a review of a smaller pack by Hyperlite – the Porter 2400 on Wildsnow.

    The concensus seems to be that if you like a pretty minimalist pack, they’re awesome and both crazy light and really tough. I’m sort of thinking about picking up one of their ice climbing packs for next season to see if they can stand up to my particularly effective brand of gear destruction…
