The puking snow around Lake Louise has my dying for early turns, but there have been a few reports of early season avalanches and now there are reports of the first avalanche fatality of the season.
The storm snow isn’t adhered to anything, there’s no base out there and snow is getting moved around by the wind forming touchy wind slabs.
Go shred, but watch out for sharks (rocks just below the snow surface) and remember that snow doesn’t stick to wet rock any better than you do.
